Importing or shipping fish into the US does not have to be a painstaking process. We will try to make the process as smooth and as painless as possible for everyone. If you purchased your fish from an eBay or AquaBid seller for the first time, please email us at jolemaclama@gmail.com or text us directly at 9725519313. Texting is usually the best and quickest way to reach us.
Below is our basic policy on what’s covered and what to expect in terms of paying for your shipment once your fish reaches the US. Please bare in mind that even though you’ve made your purchase on eBay / AquaBid and you paid the seller in Asia (shipping cost) That amount is to ship your fish from there to USA, there are costs involved in importing fish into the states. Costs includes US Customs Clearance, fws, transportation costs, airline fees and shipping fees to your physical location.
Our policy are as follows:
1) DOA (Dead on Arrival) will be covered by the overseas seller.
When your shipment arrives, we will inspect the package for any DOA and inform you if there are any deaths. You will need to take this up with your seller if DOA does occur.
2) YOU WILLSEND PAYMENT TO OUR PAYPAL EMAIL OR WE WILL INVOICED YOU FOR THE SHIPPING AND HANDLING FEE FOR YOUR FISH. THE PAYMENT HAS TO BE CLEARED AND PAID IN FULL BEFORE YOUR FISH WILL BE SHIPPED TO YOUR PHYSICAL ADDRESS, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR ADDRESS ON PAYPAL IS CORRTECT BECAUSE WE CAN NOT CHANGE THE ADDRESS FOR SHIPPING. IF THE ADDRESS NEEDTS TO BE EXCHANGE TO ANOTHER ADDRESS YOUR PAYMENT MOST BE MADE BY ZELLE,VENMO OR CASH APP.
IF you need an estimate of shipping costs, please text or contact us before your seller finalizes your order from overseas. Please bare in mind that if you PAY US BEFORE THE SHIPMENT DAY giving us all of your information (email, address, phone number) ahead of time as well as the number of fish you’ve purchased, we can provide the estimate to you fairly quickly and this is the best way to avoid delays once your fish arrives in the US. IF you live in an apartment complex, or gate community with UNIT numbers, please be sure to give us that info. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. IF UPS AND USPS CANNOT FIND YOUR UNIT, YOUR SHIPMENT WILL BE DELAYED AND YOUR FISH MAY NOT MAKE IT.
IF you do not claim the fish and / or fail to arrange for shipment or local pick up within 48 hours of their arrival, we reserve the right to hold your stock and you forfeit the rights to your shipment / fish.
3) WE DO NOT REFUND FOR SHIPPING FEES AND SERVICE IN CASE OF DOA. YOU WILL NEED TO TAKE UP DOA ISSUES with YOUR SELLER.
When your fish shipment arrives, we will turn it around and send it off within 24 hours after initial US arrival (unless you make arrangement with us prior). In the colder season, all fish will be shipped UPS NEXT DAY OVERNIGHT ONLY. IF YOU HAVE CONCERNS, please TEXT or leave us a message on Facebook Messenger.
4) We will work with you (whether it be housing your fish for extended periods after arrival or pricing) Not everything is about money, especially in this betta hobby of ours. We are enthusiasts / hobbyists first and foremost. We would rather have a single betta arrive safely to it’s new home even if it costs us a little bit more out our own pocket. So if you have any problems, questions, complaints, or feedbacks … let us know. We’d like to hear from you and please bare with us as we grow and try to improve from here on out.
